keep asking for a second chance

those out there who push fear and hate
or anyone who likes to denigrate
I've got no use for them at all
those who claim to love our nation
just not most of the population

corporations who cut corners
taking bailout cash and then run
elected officials stealing public money
while the rest of us just get crumbs

all the parents who lock up kids
damaging the most innocent
they disgust me most of all
people who choose to believe in lies
or those who tweet away their time

candidates who won't discuss the issues
seeking election on their charm
pandering to the fat cats and the losers
and only the wealthy who could run

people who decide how the rest should live
just because they say we've sinned
don't you think they have a lot of balls
those who vote to withhold relief
but take their share when they're in need

civil servants who prey on fear
con men who are millionaires
no thoughts to help anyone at all
everyone who tries to get their way
by disabling the USA
